It looks like Verizon is preparing to upgrade its latest HTC offering, the DROID DNA 1080p Android phone with a new software update. The carrier has posted the new documentation of the update on the Droid DNA phone’s support webpage. The upcoming firmware update will be carrying many enhancements and improvements for improved Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and Hotspot functionalities. The update also improves audio quality with headsets, zooming in the browser, and recent apps functionality.
Android OS version of the HTC Droid DNA handset remains at v4.1 Jelly Bean build, but the update bumps the build number up to 2.04.605.2.
Here’s the full list of the changes that are coming along with update 2.04.605.2:
- User can load videos on HuluPlus
- Improvements to Hotspot connectivity have been made
- Improvements to Audio Quality for wired headsets and earpieces have been made
- Bluetooth connectivity and volume level for specific models have been improved
- Enhanced reliability and stability of the Contacts List have been made
- Wi-Fi Connectivity has been improved
- Improvements to default browser for zooming capability have been made
- Incoming messages display with the correct timestamp
- Enhanced Recent Apps functionality has been improved
The update weighs 103.5MB in size. There’s no word on when the update should begin pushing out over-the-air (OTA), but you can keep checking for the update’s arrival by hitting Settings > Software update > Status or Check new.
