Last year in August, Samsung officially announced the Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 tablet in different countries but at that time, there was no LTE edition. After announcing the device, Samsung again officially introduced the LTE version of its Galaxy Note 10.1 tablet in South Korea which will give users up to five times faster internet speeds compared to the existing 3G network. With the inclusion of LTE connectivity brings VoLTE (Voice over LTE) which allows voice calls to be carried over an operator’s LTE network. This time, Samsung has announced a new color variant, Garnet Red color of the device which will be available in South Korea. Earlier at the time of official announcement of the device, Samsung offered only white color variant of the device.
The Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 tablet is powered by Google’s Android 4.1 Jelly Bean with a 10.1-inch 1280×800 display, 1.4 GHz Quad-Core Processor, 2GB RAM, 5 MP main Camera, Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi and GPS.
It will be carried by three major South Korean carriers. Although the source didn’t mention the exact names of the carriers, it is expected that SK Telecom, KT and LG U+ will be the carriers since they had already offered the white color variant of the tablet at the time of official announcement. The tablet is targeted at female consumers celebrating Valentine’s Day, White Day, and graduation ceremonies.
It is also reported that Samsung Electronics observes a Creative Bakery Event at COEX Experience Zone for three days from Feb 12 where 214 customers send in cup cake designs using “Easy Clip” feature of Galaxy Note 10.1 and wins its custom decorated cup cakes.
Besides South Korea, Samsung is planning to introduce the new color variant of the tablet in other market as well.
