Today, Pantech has announced that the manufacturer has started rolling out Jelly Bean update for the Pantech Vega R3 bearing model number IM-A850K. This model number is pertaining to the device supplied by KT carrier in Korea.
The Pantech Vega R3 runs Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich out of the box. It is packed with a 5.3-inch Natural IPS Pro LCD display with HD resolution with a Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro APQ8064 quad-core processor, 2GB RAM, a 13 megapixel rear-facing camera to record 1080p HD videos, 2 megapixel front-facing camera, 16GB of internal memory, microSD slot for expanding the storage up to 32GB, 4G LTE radio, NFC functionality, Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi a/b/g/n, microUSB 2.0, built-in GPS, ‘Zero Bezel Tech’ technology and a 2600mAh battery to rum the device.
Since the device is being updated to Android 4.1.x Jelly Bean, new enhancements and some notable improvements with new features such as Google Now, Project Butter enhancement, improved Voice Search, improved notifications, camera improvements, and many more will be accessible to the users.
Besides the KT carrier, other Korean carriers LG U+ and SK Telecom are also likely to roll out the same update in the near future for its Vega R3 bearing model number IM-A850L and IM-A850S respectively.
