Along with Apple Watch Series 8 and Apple Watch SE 2 at an event today, the company has also announced a new addition, the Apple Watch Ultra to its smart watch lineup. Apple brings this edition as a big surprise for the fans with bigger and brightest display. Apple Watch Ultra comes with a different design and extra battery. Apple is boasting the Ultra Watch as its most advanced Apple Watch model yet. This version should be Apple’s largest and more durable smartwatch to date with a WR100 water resistance rating, and it is EN13319 certified to withstand extreme desert heat or extreme cold temperatures. Design wise, it comes with an extra physical button, in addition to the usual rotating crown. This button helps you to easily navigate if you are under water or wearing gloves.
Apple is also quoting that the new L1 + L5 GPS system on Ultra Watch series will deliver the most accurate GPS on an Apple smartwatch to date. It also ships with a built-in 86 decibel siren to alert for help, if you happen to get lost or if end up in helpless situations from 180 meters away. It also boasts WR100 water resistance rating, which gets you twice the water resistance of a normal Apple Watch ( 40 meter dives are now supported by the hardware). Its bigger battery helps you to run it for multiple days up to 36 hours of battery life on a single charge or up to 60 hours with a new upcoming low power mode optimization settings.
The new Apple Watch Ultra has a 49mm titanium case, with the titanium bezel to protect the sapphire crystal display. This must be the brightest display from Apple with up to 2000 nits brightness (2x normal Apple Watch). It also comes with a new depth app, to tell you when you’re diving with 100 meters of protection. Users will also get the below features:

This premium, rugged titanium built Watch Ultra will be sold at a Ultra/Premium price tag $799 in the US. The pre-orders begin on September 7 and the units are ready to ship next week on September 16. You can order it in Alpine Loop, the Ocean Band and the Trail Loop straps, whichever you feel is suitable for your wrist. Apple Watch Ultra costs a whopping Rs 89,990 in India.
