Honor is expanding its product offering to include new smartphones in the coming days. One of the handset’s incomings is Honor X40. The company is going to announce it on September 15th at an event to celebrate nine years of Honor X smartphones. According to the invitation, Honor X40 sports a curved display with a centered hole-punch cutout for the front-facing camera.
A new rumor has surfaced in China leaking out the specifications of this handset. If these reports are true, the Honor X40 is tipped to sport a 6.7-inch 120HZ refresh rate OLED display with 1080×2400 resolution and 10-bit color support. On the back, there will be two cameras in a huge circle: a 50 MP main rear camera, and a 2 MP auxiliary camera. Yes, the phone’s cameras are placed within that circle.
The phone is also rumored to have the same Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 SoC as the last year’s Honor X30 phone. Under the hood, there will be a bigger 5,100mAh battery with 40W fast charging capability. It ships with Android 12 with Magic UI 6.1 out of the box, while it weighs around 172 grams carrying 161.6 x 73.9 x 7.9 mm dimensions.
Presently, the Honor X40 launch date in the US, India, and the rest of the world is still under wraps. Let’s wait for the official launch event day.
