The Chinese manufacturer will officially announce the Honor X9a 5G smartphone on Wednesday, January 4th, 2023, at 7 pm local time, revealed on a dedicated product page on Honor’s website. This handset would be the third X9-branded phone in the Chinese market from Honor.
Honor says this handset has an ultra-tough OLED curved display. You can check out this funny video over YouTube, where KLGadgetTV was trying to destroy the Honor X9a 5G’s curved display. Previous reports suggested that the Honor X9a 5G will be launched as a rebranded version of the Honor X40, which was released in China in mid-September.
Honor X9a 5G rumored specifications
- 6.67-inch AMOLED curved-edge display with 1080 x 2400 pixels, refresh rate of up to 120Hz and 1.07 Billion colors
Snapdragon 695 SoC - 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB or 256 GB of internal storage
- 50MP rear camera with a 2MP macro sensor and LED flash
- 8MP selfie camera in a centrally aligned punch-hole
- Android 12 OS with Magic UI skin on top
- 5,100mAh battery with 40W wired charging capability
- An under-display fingerprint scanner
