Realme has been releasing Android 13 updates left and right for the past few weeks. Late last month, both the Realme GT Neo 3 and GT Neo 3 150W handset have started receiving the latest Android OS software. The manufacturer now started rolling out the Android 13-based Realme UI 4.0 update for the India based Realme 9i 5G and Realme 9 Pro handsets, but it also should arrive globally soon.
Both the Realme 9 Pro, and 9i 5G phones were launched earlier this year with Android 12 out of the box. The Realme 9 Pro’s update comes with firmware version RMX3471_11.C.08, whereas the Realme 9i 5G’s update has firmware version RMX3471_11.C.08. The update is rolling out in a staged manner right now, that means it could take at least a few days for the new software to reach your device by the end of this month.

Realme says the device will take longer to boot for the first time after updating, and the device may hang and consume more power for some time as it will occupy more CPU, and memory. The update brings large folders to home screen, support for adding widgets to the home screen. You will also get optimized insight Always-On Display, along with the upgraded Quantum Animation Engine 4.0. The list of changes and new features is pretty long. If you live in India and haven’t received the Realme UI 4.0 stable update yet, you can check for it manually by navigating to your Settings > About Phone > Check for updates menu. Before checking for the update, Realme 9i 5G users please make sure their handsets running the firmware with version RMX3612_11.C.04, and the Realme 9 Pro handsets should be running on firmware version – RMX3471_11.A.47, RMX3471_11.A.45, RMX3471_11.A.43 or RMX3471_11.A.41.
