It seems Apple is working on a brand-new version of the iPad Mini though it remains to be seen when it will the official launch is taking place. A new report from Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo has briefed about the launch details of the redesigned iPad mini tablet.
In a series of tweets, Kuo says the next iPad mini’s mass shipments are probably to start near the end of 2023 or in the first half of 2024. He also said a new processor will be the strongest selling point of the new iPad mini, implying that the next iteration of the iPad mini could be getting a specs upgrade in processor part only, while it still may get smaller bezels, Touch ID built into the power button, and a larger display. To recall, Apple launched the last iPad mini in September 2021, and it features an 8.3-inch display, A15 Bionic chip, Touch ID power button, 5G support on cellular models, and USB-C port.
That’s it. No additional details haven’t been reveled out about the new iPad mini. Kuo also claimed Apple’s first foldable iPad won’t replace the iPad mini.

Additionally, Apple is currently working on a new version of the iPad mini equipped with a new processor as the main selling point, and the mass shipment is expected to start by the end of 2023 or in 1H24.
Back in April, he first stated that Apple’s first foldable could arrive in 2024. In today’s tweet, he instated his earlier statement and clarified Apple won’t be able to launch the foldable iPad in 2025 because a foldable device would cost much more than iPad mini, making it an attractive replacement.
According to the previous reports, Apple is rumored to be entering the foldable smartphone market segment with the launch of an 8-inch foldable iPhone. The device is expected to feature an 8-inch QHD+ flexible OLED display and use a silver nanowire touch solution for the device’s display.
