Samsung has now become one of the best in terms of a handset’s lifecycle. The brand officially pledges that their goal is to complete One UI 5.0 rollout for all eligible devices by the end of this year. Looks like it is going to fulfill its commitment. One more device has joined the party today.
In late August, Samsung Galaxy A04s was launched preinstalled with Android 12 OS. It appears that the time has come, and the company is now rolling out the Android 13 update with One UI 5.0 goodies for the Galaxy A04 handsets. SamMobile notes that the update is currently available in Panama only. Other regions will also get it soon. This fresh build also contains the November 2022 security patch. Look out for the firmware version: A047MUBU1BVK5.
The One UI 5.0 brings some pleasant changes to the UI, including an expanded color Palette feature, bigger notifications icons, and better blur effects in the notifications area, Stacked Widgets, a lot of accessibility features, and improved lock screen customization. You will also see a set of updated stock apps including Samsung Internet, Samsung Keyboard, Camera, Gallery, MyFiles and many more changes.
For those unaware, Samsung Galaxy A04s launched with Android 12 based One UI 4.1 build, and the company promised that it would continue supporting the device for two more years, which means that the handset will also get its major OS upgrade in the next year.
The update is being seeded out in stages right now, so it will take some time to finally reach your handset. If you can’t wait for the update to hit your handset, you can try updating your phone to One UI 5 by heading over to Settings >> Software update on your phone and hitting Download and install.
