It seems 2024 will be quite exciting for Apple enthusiasts. We recently heard reports about Apple’s plans to launch the new version of iPad Mini tablet in late 2023 or early 2024. You will also be seeing the foldable iPads hitting the markets sometime in 2024 with an eye-watering price tag. Apple has collaborated with LG and Samsung to develop a 20.25-inch foldable display. The latest rumor mill has spilled some beans on Apple’s future plans for the upcoming OLED iPad Pro models that are scheduled to launch in 2024.
According to the display analyst, Ross Young, Apple is planning to bring big improvements with iPad Pro models, especially in terms of display quality. Ross Young explained how Apple plans to do that in a report to MacRumors.
Back in July month, Young had previously revealed about the release of new OLED iPad Pro models in 2024. However, this is the first time we are hearing reports about upgraded 11.1-inch and 13-inch display sized iPad models. Apple is working on ever so slightly enlarging screens packed iPad Pros that will feature OLED displays. Sizes would be enlarging from 11″ and 12.9″ to 11.1″ and 13″, respectively. There will be a reduction in the size of the device’s bezels as opposed to a change in the device’s total dimensions in order to accommodate the new panels. Ross also claimed these models will be officially launched in 2024.
Ross previously claimed about the arrival of a 14.1-inch in 2023. But, due to some unknown reason, Apple has no longer plans to make a 14.1-inch iPad Pro model. According to multiple media outlets, Apple clearly wants bigger displays. Reportedly, Apple is already designing a 16-inch model, but there is no forecast for the launch.
To recall, the current lineup was launched in October and consists of an 11″ iPad Pro with a conventional LCD screen and a 12.9″ model with a mini LED panel, both powered by the M2 chipset.
