The Korean manufacturer really wanted to upgrade it’s all the eligible Galaxy devices to One UI 5 customized with Android 13 goodies by the end of last year, but they couldn’t finish it. Samsung started its new year by rolling out the greatly anticipated Android 13 update for two more devices – Galaxy A03 and Galaxy F12.
According to the folks over SamMobile, the update arrives with new firmware version A035FXXU2CVL4 for the Galaxy A03, and F127GXXU3CVL4 for the Galaxy F12. Both the A03 and F12 are absolute lowest-end Galaxy handsets.
The Galaxy A03 was launched in 2021 running with Android 11 and the One UI 3.1 version, and it was eligible for two more major Android OS updates. It got upgraded to Android 12 in August 2022. The Android 13 update for Galaxy A03 is being seeded out in Serbia. On the other hands, the Galaxy F12 with Android 11 onboard was exclusively launched in April 2022 for the Indian markets, and received the Android 12 update in August 2022.
The Android 13 update also comes with the November 2022 security patch level, fixing a whopping 46 security vulnerabilities. The Android 13 update brings the new refreshments for the user interface as well as the One UI 5.0 goodies – new widgets, improved lick screen customizations, improved animations and transitions. The Camera app has been updated with more options for built-in photo and video editors, while the Gallery app has got more album customizing features.
