A month ago, Xiaomi announced the Xiaomi 13 and 13 Pro handsets for China. It looks like a “lite” version of the latest flagship is on track to release very soon. The Chinese tech giant’s upcoming smartphone, known as the Xiaomi 13 Lite, has some of its specifications confirmed by the Google Play Console.
The Google listing confirms codenamed Ziyi, which matches the Xiaomi Civi 2 which made its debut in China in late September 2022. The attached image in Google listing also looks similar to the Xiaomi Civi 1S. The listing also confirms that the upcoming Xiaomi 3 Lite features the Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 SM7450 processor from Qualcomm and 8GB of RAM. The chipset is built on four cores clocked at 2.4GHz and another four cores ticking at 1.8GHz, along with Adreno 644 GPU onboard. According to the listing, the device was running Android 12 OS.
The display has a resolution of 1,080 x 2,400 pixels and a pixel density of 440 ppi, which implies that the display could be smaller than 6.5-inches. The display has a centre-aligned punch-hole cutout with curved edges. There is a rectangular-shaped camera island occupied by three sensors.
The Xiaomi 13 Lite was supposed to be launched as the successor of the previous-gen Xiaomi 12 Lite. Earlier in last October, 13 Lite was appeared on the IMEI database with the model number 2210129SG. Previous reports suggested that Xiaomi will also release a Xiaomi 12 Lite 5G NE (new edition) which is rumored to be identical to the Civi 2 and the upcoming Xiaomi 13 Lite.
As far as the Xiaomi 13 Lite release date is concerned, we can expect to hear it in the coming weeks, and we’ll keep you posted as soon as more information surfaces.
