It was revealed a few days ago that OnePlus is working on a higher mid-range smartphone, the Nord CE 3, and that it it was being tested in India under the codename “Larry.” The first live images of the OnePlus Nord CE 3 have now been leaked online, and they show off the front and back of the new device. The images confirm everything that we have seen in the leaked official-looking renders.
The OnePlus Nord CE 3 live images, posted online by MySmartPrice, show us a good look at the phone’s design from all angles. We can make up the new housing for the triple camera setup in two large individual circular rings along with an LED flash at the back on a chrome-like finish glossy panel. You can also observe the matte green-accented side frame featuring a power button, which doubles as a fingerprint scanner. The front display has a centered punch-hole cutout for the front-facing camera, while the bottom has a thicker bezel, and there’s also a 3.5mm headphone jack, along with a speaker grille.
Previous leaks have shown that the OnePlus Nord CE 3 features a 6.7-inch Full HD+ IPS LCD which has 120Hz refresh rate support, and it is rumored to be powered by Snapdragon 695 chipset, which is a big downgrade over the Nord CE 2, which had a much better capable Dimensity 900 with support for 4K video recording. The Snapdragon chipset paired with 8GB/12GB RAM and up to 256GB of internal storage.
In the camera department, it may feature a 16 megapixel selfie camera, along with a 108MP main camera as well as two 2MP depth and macro sensors on the back side. The device will be backed up by a 5000mAh battery with support for 67W fast charging speeds.
None of these specs has been officially confirmed as yet. OnePlus will confirm the launch date of the Nord CE 3, which is expected to arrive in the second quarter of this year.
