Oppo is planning to launch the next iteration of Pad series tablet – the Oppo Pad 2. Te manufacturer launched the previous-gen Oppo Pad in last February, alongside the Find X5 series for the Chinese markets. We’re now hearing a few key details about its successor.
Digital Chat Station via Weibo claims that the Oppo Pad 2 will ship with an 11.x-inch screen, boasting a higher resolution of 2800 x 2000 pixels and a 144Hz refresh rate. The previous-gen Oppo Pad came was launched with 120Hz 11.0-inch display with 1600 x 2560px resolution. DCS also reported that Pad2’s display is capable of Dolby Vision and HDR10+.
This is the first we are hearing about the specifications of the Oppo Pad 2 tablet. Under the hood, it will be powered by a 9,500mAh battery, which will be sufficient for lasing up to long hours. The device will be charged at 67W fast charging speeds. Much info hasn’t been leaked about the tablet, but it should be running out of the latest Android 13 OS based ColorOS 13 UI out of the box.
Nowadays, devices coming from Oppo and OnePlus are often sharing the same design and specs. A few days ago, OnePlus has started teasing the upcoming OnePlus Pad tablet, and we’ve also seen a bunch of official-looking renders of the device. At the moment, we don’t know whether the Oppo Pad 2 will end up as a rebranded version of the OnePlus Pad tablet, which will make its official debut on February 7th in India, alongside OnePlus 11R, and the global variant of OnePlus 11.
Oppo will soon schedule an event for launching the Find X6, Find X6 Pro, and Find X6 Pro Dimensity edition handsets in China. The Oppo Pad 2 tablet also expected to be gracing the stage at the same event. As we move towards official launch, more detailed will be revealed in the coming days. So, stay tuned.
