We’ve been hearing reports about price increase for the upcoming Galaxy flagships that Galaxy S23 series pricing could start at $899 in the US (that’s $100 price hike than the previous-gen flagships). It looks like the US consumers won’t be seeing any hike in the pricing for these phones. US based AT&T website put up a premature listing of the Galaxy S23 series of phones detailing some of their key specifications and launch price, as well as open sales date.
AT&T Samsung Galaxy S23 Prices in the US (for base models):
- Galaxy S23 — $799
- Galaxy S23+ — $999
- Galaxy S23 Ultra — $1,199
According to the FAQs section on the dedicated webpage, the “full retail price for the Galaxy S23 starts at $799.99, Galaxy S23+ is $999.99 and S23 Ultra $1,199.99.” AT&T officially confirmed the pre-orders for Galaxy S23 phones will begin on February 1, right after Unpacked event goes off, while the open sale will kick off both online and in-stores from February 17 in the US. At the moment, pressing on the “Shop Now” is throwing up an error. That means, you can’t buy any of the Galaxy S23 models from this moment.
To recall, Samsung launched the Galaxy S20 series with a starting price of $999 (a $100 jump from the Galaxy S10). Later, the manufacturer had to drop the pricing to $799 with the launch of the Galaxy S21 series, and kept the same starting price for the Galaxy S22 series too, despite bringing a lot of improvements, especially in terms of cameras and other hardware aspects.
We already reported that you could grab a Galaxy S23 series smartphone at a good discount if you pre-order the device after the official launch. Samsung is expected to announce pre-order offers right after official launch, where you would get a free storage upgrade if you pre-order its upcoming smartphone – you can get a 256GB version of the phone for the price of the 128GB version. Who knows, Samsung may also offer a free pair of the Galaxy Buds 2 Pro for free for early pre-bookings.
Said that, Samsung is already letting you to pre-reserve a Galaxy S23 device in the US, which will give you a flat $50 or up to $100 Samsung Store for your future uses, while buying accessories for Galaxy S23 phones. So, this would be the right time to pre-reserve it if you are considering upgrading to any of the Galaxy S23 models. It doesn’t cost you anything to reserve the phone, and there are also no strings attached. Samsung opened this reservation window on January 11, and it is about to close on February 1.
We’ve already seen almost everything there is to see of the new Galaxy S23 series, which is looking pretty nice based on the variety of leaked images, full specs, official renders, and camera snaps/8K video recordings/live photos/unboxing videos of the Galaxy S23 Ultra we’ve seen so far.
