Say hello to the new Vivo V series phones – Vivo just launched three V phones – Vivo V27, Vivo V27 Pro, and Vivo V27e for global markets. Both the Vivo V27 and V27 Pro are specifically launched in India, and also for other international markets. It seems the V27e is missing for the Indian markets. Both the pro and vanilla models support 5G connectivity, while the V27e sticks with 4G LTE capability.
Vivo V27 and Vivo V27 Pro
The Vivo V27 Pro is a rebranded version of the Vivo S16 Pro, which has been launched in China in late 2022. The V27, on the other hand, is a new phone that comes with a completely new Dimensity 7200 SoC.
These two phones are similar to each other except the MediaTek chipset. The Pro model ships with the Dimensity 8200, which has 4 nm platform 3.1 GHz CPU. The vanilla variant’s Dimensity 7200 is also built on the 4 nm process with CPU cores are clocked at 2.8 GHz.
Both phones have a 6.78-inch FHD+ 120Hz 60° 3D curved AMOLED display, and features a 50MP eye autofocus front camera inside the punch-hole. On the back, both have a 50MP primary camera with Sony IMX766V sensor, along with a 8MP ultra-wide camera and a 2MP macro camera. You can spot the ring LED in the camera island, which is being referred as Aura light. Vivo has included several software improvements for photo and video – Real-Time Extreme Night Vision, Super Night Video, and so-called Hybrid Image Stabilization that digitally fixes shakiness in videos.
Remaining specs are USB Type-C, NFC (in Indonesia) Bluetooth 5.3, and Wi-Fi 2.4 GHz/5 GHz, 14.2mm audio drivers that promise strong bass, and dual-mic noise cancellation. Pro and vanilla models will ship with Android 13 based Funtouch OS 13, and are backed up by the same 4600mAh battery which supports 66W charging speeds and 25 hours of battery life. Both phones will be offered in the following combinations:
8 GB LPDDR4x RAM + 128 GB UFS 3.1
8 GB LPDDR4x RAM + 256 GB UFS 3.1
12 GB LPDDR4x RAM + 256 GB UFS 3.1
The V27 Pro will be offered in Magic Blue and Noble Black colors. The Magic Blue colour variant of the V27 Pro phone has a cool feature called photochromic technology that changes from light to dark blue under sunlight (or any other UV light). The vanilla V27 comes in four colors: Noble Black, Magic Blue, Emerald Green and Flowing Gold.
For the Indian consumers, the V27 Pro is priced at ₹37,999 for the 8GB + 128GB model, ₹39,999 for the 8GB + 256GB model and the 12GB + 256GB model costs ₹42,999. The phone is now available for pre-order at vivo’s official site, and you can also grab it through when the open sale begins in the coming days.
The vivo V27 will be available in India from March 23rd, and will go on sale for ₹32,999 for the 8GB + 128GB model and the 12GB + 256GB model costs ₹36,999.
