It is common for Apple to temporarily take down its online store prior to major product launches or updates. This may be the case for the anticipated release of the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus, which has been recently announced to come in a new Yellow color. Pre-orders for these models are expected to begin at 5:00 a.m. Pacific Time, while the official release date has been announced by Apple as March 14.
Earlier this week, Apple announced the addition of a new Yellow color option to its iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus lineup, joining the existing Midnight, Starlight, (PRODUCT)RED, Blue, and Purple shades. Apart from the new Yellow finish, there are no other changes to the devices. Customers can now choose from a total of six color options when purchasing the iPhone 14 or iPhone 14 Plus.
Apple had previously offered a Yellow color option for the iPhone lineup in 2019 with the release of the iPhone 11, which followed the Yellow iPhone XR released a year earlier. The new Yellow finish for the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus marks a welcome return of this vibrant color option. However, it should be noted that the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max do not come with any new color options, and are still available in the same Graphite, Gold, and Silver finishes as their predecessors.
To recall, the iPhone 14 is powered by an A15 chip and it offers new features like Action mode and Cinematic mode. There have also been reports of improvements to battery life, with the 6.7-inch iPhone 14 Plus potentially having the longest battery life of any iPhone model to date. Additionally, emergency SOS via satellite may be a new feature included in the iPhone 14.
In addition to the new Yellow color option for the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus, Apple has also introduced four new color options for the Silicone Cases designed for these models. The new colors include Canary Yellow, Olive, Sky, and Iris, providing customers with even more options to personalize their devices.
