As we predicted earlier, Apple has just announced the dates for its upcoming Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) for 2023. The conference is set to take place from Monday, June 5 to Friday, June 9, and it will be the 34th annual event of its kind. Similar to the previous three years, WWDC 2023 will be a primarily online event, which means that developers from all around the world will be able to participate from the comfort of their own homes, and without having to pay any registration fees.
While most of the conference will take place online, there will be an in-person keynote address and a State of the Union presentation held at the Apple Park campus in California.
What to expect at WWDC 2023
Apple has revealed that at the upcoming WWDC, which is scheduled to run from June 5 to June 9, it will introduce the latest advancements for its operating systems, including iOS 17, iPadOS 17, macOS 14, watchOS 10, and tvOS 17. Apart from software upgrades, the event could also feature hardware announcements, with speculations suggesting the much-anticipated AR/VR headset, Mac Pro, and 15-inch MacBook Air could be revealed. This year’s event is expected to place particular emphasis on the AR/VR headset, which is currently under development by the tech giant.
Apple’s WWDC 2023 is gearing up to be another exciting event for developers and students alike. On June 5, a special all-day event will take place at Apple Park, where attendees can watch the keynote and State of the Union videos, participate in the Apple Design Awards ceremony, and more.
While the in-person event at Apple Park is a unique opportunity, Apple is ensuring that all developers can participate by offering the entire conference online for free. As with previous years, it is likely that the WWDC 2023 keynote will be pre-recorded, but in-person attendees will still be able to watch it together.
Developers who are interested in attending the in-person event at Apple Park can submit their requests for invitations via links provided by Apple. Invitations will be randomly allocated, and the lucky few who are selected will be notified by April 5 at 6:00 p.m. PDT.
