Here’s the iPhone 15 Pro Max in new renders with larger camera bump

In February, we caught a glimpse of the anticipated iPhone 15 Pro Max in some rudimentary CAD-based renders. Fast forward to the present day, and a reputable source has reemerged with a wealth of additional renders, which are considerably more refined and detailed.

Renowned leaker ShrimpApplePro has shared an exclusive look at the upcoming iPhone 15 Pro Max, featuring polished CAD-based renders. According to the leaker, the images were sourced from a reputable case manufacturer, and offer a more detailed glimpse of the highly anticipated device than previous leaks. In a Twitter thread, ShrimpApplePro shared a closer look at the renders and provided additional insights into the design and features of the device.

According to ShrimpApplePro, these new CAD-based renders of the iPhone 15 Pro Max are the most detailed yet, sourced directly from a case manufacturer. The previous 3D models have already been shared by others, but ShrimpApplePro wanted to provide a closer look for his followers.

The newly leaked CAD renders of the iPhone 15 Pro Max showcase an unparalleled bezel design that is hard to resist. The bezel design is nothing short of breathtaking and simply irresistible. The phone feels like a magnificent piece of glass when held in the hand, showcasing Apple’s ingenuity in crafting the pinnacle of mobile phone design.

The overall thickness of the iPhone 15 Pro Max remains the same as last year’s model. However, the ratio between the body and the camera bump has changed, with the body being slightly thicker and the camera bump being slightly thinner.

According to the leaker, the camera bump of the upcoming iPhone 15 Pro Max will measure 3.78mm, which is slightly larger than the 3.58mm bump on the previous iPhone 14 Pro Max. While some earlier leaks suggested that the bump could be thinner, it’s still unclear which rumor will ultimately prove accurate. Regardless, the larger bump could indicate that Apple is making changes to the camera setup in the new phone, which could have implications for image quality and other camera-related features.

He also claims that the iPhone 15 Pro Max is said to feature a camera ring with a diameter of 16.2mm and a 13mm camera lens, which is reportedly similar to the configuration found in the previous model. These details provide some insight into the potential camera capabilities of the upcoming device.

According to ShrimpApplePro, the rear flash on the iPhone 15 Pro Max CAD renders has a smaller diameter of 6.7mm compared to the 6.9mm diameter of the previous year’s model. The microphone diameter is also down from 1.15mm to 0.75mm. As for the Dynamic Island, it seems to be the same size as the previous models.

While some earlier leaks suggested that the bump could be thinner, it’s still unclear which rumor will ultimately prove accurate. Regardless, the larger bump could indicate that Apple is making changes to the camera setup in the new phone, which could have implications for image quality and other camera-related features.

The upcoming iPhone 15 Pro Max is rumored to feature solid-state volume buttons that will replace the traditional mechanical ones. These buttons may also come with a user-programmable action button, similar to the Apple Watch Ultra. Instead of physical clicks, these buttons will provide haptic feedback to replicate the sensation of pressing a real button, providing a more seamless and immersive experience for the user.

The solid-state volume buttons of the iPhone 15 Pro Max CAD render have caught the attention of the leakster, who notes the presence of “weird objects” sitting on top of them. According to the leaker, these are conductive paddings that are expected to be fused to phone cases, allowing for full gesture or action sensitivity. This feature could offer users a more intuitive and convenient way to control their devices.

He also claims that the conductive padding seen on top of the solid-state volume buttons in the iPhone 15 Pro Max CAD renders are also expected to be included in the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus models as well. This suggests that solid-state buttons may become a standard feature across the entire range. As always, it’s important to take all leaks and rumors with a grain of salt until official information is released by Apple.
