According to recently discovered benchmark scores, the XQ-DQ72 is most likely the upcoming next-generation Xperia 1 V. Further details about the device are scarce, but recent certification passing information has revealed a “confirmed” spec related to battery and charging.
The certification passing information shows that the corresponding voltage and current are 11V and 3A, indicating a charging speed of 33W. For comparison, the fastest fast-charging value of last year’s Xperia 1 IV and Xperia 5 IV was 30W. This means that the upcoming Xperia 1 V (and possibly 5 V as well) will be able to charge 10% faster than its predecessor.
Although the increase in charging speed is not a significant upgrade, it is a welcome change for users who have voiced concerns about the slow charging speed of previous Xperia flagship models. The increase to 33W charging speed for the Xperia 1 V is a modest but noteworthy improvement.
As for the battery capacity of the Xperia 1 V, there have been very few rumors or leaks regarding this aspect of the device.
