The hot rumor of the hour is that HTC Android smartphone codenamed Pyramid with a dual-core 1.2 GHz processor and a 4.3 inch HD display is going to be out on T-Mobile in Q2. Well the source and authenticity of this rumor cannot be confirmed, but it is known that HTC has been busy for a superphone release lately and hence this could be the one.
How true can be this rumor?
Well as everyone has seen, HTC Pyramid is on the limelight with blogger space adding oil to the rapid fire (and I am doing the same). There are other convincing facts like Qualcomm been working on a dual-core Snapdragon for long time now, the Snapdragon MSM8260 that Qualcomm teased briefly at CES a couple of weeks ago. This processor may eventually be in this HTC Smartphone.
We are expecting that HTC might show off this new dual-core device during the Mobile World Congress later this month. Reports are coming in that the HTC Pyramid will carry the biggest screen with the highest resolution and the most powerful chipset and it is going to be on T-Mobile with 4G.
Price and Availability
T-Mobile has caught the handset in the US for a release in May 2011. But there are no news of releases in the UK and other regions. Pricing cannot be predicted as of now.
