Motorola Brute i686 is another phone of Sprint’s iDEN family devices and an updated i680 Brute that adds protection against submersion. It is a ruggedized push-to-talk phone, clamshell is made to meet the military specifications 810G for shock, dust, extreme temperatures, humidity, vibration, low pressure, solar radiation and more forces.
Motorola Brute i686 is having flip phone design and adds the ability to be immersed in a meter of water for up to 30 minutes. It features Nextel’s Direct Connect push-to-talk services to an interconnect voice call, including Group Connect, International Direct Connect, and Direct Talk.
Specs wise, Motorola Brute i686 is sporting Synergy operating system, 2-megapixel camera with flash and 4x digital zoom, GPS (with geo-tagging support), two color display screens – 2.2” internal display with a 1.3” external one. Bluetooth, a 1750 mAh battery, web browser, media player, 180MB of internal memory and a microSD expansion slot that can take cards of up to 8GB. It is also having some pre-installed applications – TeleNav Navigation, NASCAR Sprint Cup Mobile and Sprint Football Live.
