At Mobile World Congress event, HTC has announced the successor of the HTC Wildfire, and named it as HTC Wildfire S with huge improvement over its predecessor. The latest handset is the HTC’s cheapest phone in the latest Android 2.3 Gingerbread lineup , sporting a more angular chassis and HTC has removed the optical tracking device from the bottom of the handset and the the screen design has changed to HVGA display from its original QVGA display.
HTC Wildfire S comes with Android 2.3.3 Gingerbread OS, sporting 3.2-inch Super LCD display with HVGA resolution (320 x 480), running on a 600MHz Qualcomm processor, 5 Megapixels camera with LED flash. offering 512MB of RAM and ROM. It is lacking front-facing webcam and features Wi-Fi b/g/n, Bluetooth 2.0, 1230mAh battery and the Gingerbread will be enhanced by updated HTC Sense UI and the handset is measuring measuring just 101x59x12mm, weighing at 105 grams.
