Until now, Samsung Galaxy Tab came only in the 3G-enabled variant. Long ago, Samsung has announced about the Wi-Fi only version of Samsung Galaxy Tab and never delivered it. Droid-Life folks have managed to get a leaked Samsung flyer. According to the flyer, Samsung will start selling the Wi-Fi only Galaxy Tab from April 4th for just $399. That is same price as the first generation iPad.
Now, we already have the latest Honeycomb OS running Motorola Xoom, the upcoming LG G-Slate, Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1, BlackBerry PlayBook, WebOS powered HP TouchPad, and the recently launched legend Apple iPad 2. Can the Wi-Fi only Galaxy tab compete with all these tablets and the old iPad, which is available fore sale at the same price, $399.
Anyhow, specs wise, the 7-incher Samsung Galaxy Tab runs with out-dated Android 2.2 Froyo, and features a lightning-fast 1GHz processor, 802.11 b/g/n Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 3.0, 16GB built-in storage allowing for a further 32GB memory expansion via the micro-SD card slot and GPS Navigation capability. The browser included in the tablet is having both Adobe Flash 10.1 and HTML5 capabilities. Adobe Flash 10.2 coming on March 18th for Android platform says Adobe.
