Samsung has just introduced both the 4-inch Galaxy Player and a 5-inch Galaxy Player, during the announcement of its 2011 product lineup for the US market. These both are Android-powered devices. Back in February, at MWC event, Samsung has announced these both PMPs as Galaxy S Wi-Fi 4.0 and Galaxy S Wi-Fi 5.0.
Samsung Galaxy Player 4” runs with Android 2.2 Froyo, sporting a 4-inch Super Clear LCD display, GPS, equipped with a 3.2MP rear camera and an additional front-facing VGA camaera, 720p HD playback, Bluetooth 3.0, Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n, 8/16/32GB storage option with an option to expand to 32GB more via micro-SD card, Qik video and Skype video calling services, DLNA capability, Adobe Flash Player 10.1, GPS, Android Market access and a 1200mAh battery.
Samsung Galaxy Player 5” runs with Android 2.2 Froyo, sporting a 5-inch Super Clear TFT-LCD display, GPS, equipped with a 3.2MP rear camera with Flash and an additional front-facing VGA camaera, 720p HD playback, Bluetooth 3.0, Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n, 8/16/32GB storage option with an option to expand to 32GB more via micro-SD card, Qik video service, DLNA capability, Adobe Flash Player 10.1, GPS, Android Market access and a huge 2500mAh battery.
Price & Availability
We will be seeing these both 4” and 5” Samsung Galaxy Players on the streets of the United States this spring. No pricing details have mentioned yet.
Both PMPs can be upgradable to Android 2.3 Gingerbread OS. More images after the break.
