This must be a chilling news for the Nokia handset using Mac users. Late yesterday, Nokia has released Nokia Software Updater for Mac platform through the Nokia Beta Labs doorway. The released client version is still in beta form, so it’s not the final release yet.
Nokia Software Updater (beta), lets the Mac users to update their Nokia handsets’ software directly from their their Macs. Now the Mac users can drive the apps and latest versions of core software to your devices and install them over a microUSB cable.
Bear in mind that this beta version is still in development stage and you would lost all your data if you unplug your Nokia phone while updating. According to sources, this beta application isn’t compatible with devices such as the Nokia N95. Symbian^3 OS running handsets Nokia C7, and Nokia N8 are supported as well.
The list of handsets that supports with the Nokia Software Updater for Mac are:
Nokia 6210 Navigator, 6700 slide, 6710 Navigator, 6720 Classic, 6730 Classic, 5630 XpressMusic, 5730 XpressMusic, 5800 XpressMusic, N78, N79, N97, N97 mini, X5, X6, C5, C6, E55, and E72
