Facebook has launched its own extension app named Messenger today on Apple’s App Store and the Android Marketplace. This app will let the users to send instant messages that should reach their friend’s Facebook account right away. Remember that this app isn’t regular Facebook client for Android, which has developed to deliver messages through notifications and texts. But the new Messenger app allows the users to send instant messages to contacts from the phonebook, and to all friends’ Facebook accounts. We are sure that Facebook’s new Messenger app will give tough competition to other messaging apps such as GroupMe, Google Huddle, and etc.
This app was first developed by Beluga’s founding team, and you might be aware that Facebook has acquired Beluga in March month of this year. Messenger app will simplify all your conversations, text, Chat, Messages, and email.
Facebook Messenger App’s Other Features:
# Users can quickly start a group conversation and message everyone at once.
# Built in geo-location capabilities – Users can add their location to meet up with their friends easily.
# Users can add people in their phonebook to the group chat to deliver and receive your messages through SMS even if they are not on Facebook.
# Users can see the full history of all your messages.
# Users can also attach photos, making it easier for their friends to see and comment.
