The Acer Iconia Tab A200 is the Android OS powered tablet, having all the high-end specifications and an up-to-date hardware under the hood. This tablet is the successor of the Acer Iconia Tab A100.
Acer Iconia Tab A200 will initially ship with Android 3.2 Honeycomb OS, sporting a 10.1-inch touchscreen display with 1280 X 800 pixels of resolution, powered by a 1.2GHz NVidia Tegra 2 dual-core processor, 1GB of RAM to keep things running, equipped with a 2 megapixel camera on the front side of the device to enable face-to-face chats, Full-sized USB port, micro SD card slot for memory expansion support up to 32GB, 802.11 Wi-Fi b/g/n, 3.5mm headset jack, Gyro meter, preinstalled Acer Social Jogger app, a whole host of the Google services and all the regular features of a regular tablet.
Acer Iconia Tab A200 will be running Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich OS out-of-the-box beginning in January 2012 and Android ICS update will be rolled out for the tablets running Honeycomb build, at the same time.
Acer Iconia Tab A200 comes with a special feature called “Acer Ring”, which is an unique skin on top of the vanilla Honeycomb OS. Users will be able to quickly access apps from any screen as well as take screenshots.
