Realme to Enter the Foldable Phone Market with Realme Fold or Realme Flip: Which One Will You Choose?
Realme, the Chinese smartphone manufacturer, is reportedly gearing up to enter the foldable phone market this year. Realme VP and President of Realme International, Madhav Sheth, recently took to Twitter to ask his followers which type of foldable phone they would prefer from the brand: a flip-style clamshell foldable called the Realme Flip, or a larger book-style folding phone known as the Realme Fold. With the global folding phone market heating up, it will be interesting to see how Realme’s offerings will stack up against other competitors in this emerging market.
For years, there have been rumors about Realme’s plans to join the foldable phone market. However, the Chinese smartphone manufacturer has so far refrained from entering this market and instead focused on developing conventional phones to cater to a wider audience.

As Realme prepares to make its entry into the foldable phone market, there is much anticipation about what the brand has planned for its first foldable device. While there are currently no concrete details available, it is expected that more information about Realme’s plans will be revealed in the near future. As the global foldable phone market continues to evolve and grow, it will be interesting to see how Realme’s offerings stack up against those of its competitors.
It’s worth noting that OnePlus, a sister company of Realme and Oppo, is also rumored to be launching its own foldable phones in the near future. Recently, the company started teasing the development of a foldable device, and more recently, it registered trademarks for “OnePlus V Fold” and “OnePlus V Flip.” According to rumors, the OnePlus V Fold will be launched this year and will be based on the Oppo Find N2, although the specifications may differ slightly as it aims to compete with the upcoming Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 foldables.
It seems that the BBK group is gearing up to dominate the foldable phone market, as Vivo is set to release its own foldable devices. The brand is expected to launch the Vivo X Fold 2 and the Vivo X Flip, joining the likes of Realme and OnePlus in this new category. With multiple smartphone brands entering the foldable phone market, it will be exciting to see how these devices evolve and compete with one another.
