The Apple AirPods Pro 2 is the true wireless earbuds out there for Apple users. It indeed represents a relatively big upgrade from its predecessor with a slightly better audio quality, improved battery life, better noise cancellation, and better Find My support. The buyers who have ordered the Apple’s 2nd generation AirPods Pro, be ready to update them with new firmware as soon as you got your hands on them.
Apple sometimes releases firmware updates for its AirPods family which bring new features, bug fixes, and performance improvements. Apple has begun rolling out the first firmware update for the AirPods Pro 2. The new build number will be 5A377 with firmware’s new version 5.0, while the release notes just say it has bug fixes and “other improvements.”
Apple hasn’t yet confirmed what the update addresses, as the company usually doesn’t provide specific details for firmware updates released for AirPods. Here is how to check the AirPods Pro 2 firmware version and install the new update.
