With time, mobile manufacturers are also needed to change their concepts of manufacturing and developing their handsets in order to attract customers. You may have already known that Finnish mobile manufacturer, Nokia is popularly known for its polycarbonate handsets. Slightly different from the previously concepts of designing mobile, Nokia is planning to introduce a new line up to its Nokia family in this year but the device will be made of aluminum.
The new aluminum-made handset is codenamed Nokia Catwalk. It is expected that the specification of the device will be similar to its Nokia Lumia 920 which is packed with a Snapdragon S4 Plus chipset with a 1.5GHz dual-core Krait processor, 1GB RAM, an 8 megapixel camera with Pure View Phase 2 technology and Carl Zeiss optics, 1080p HD video recording capability, 1.3 megapixel front facing camera to make 720p HD video calls, 32GB onboard storage, and more.
The high-end upcoming Lumia lineup will be running Microsoft’s Windows Phone 8 operating system. The aluminum construction would make the handset to be significantly thinner and lighter than the Nokia Lumia 920 which is made with brightly colored polycarbonate. The Lumia 920 is one of the largest and heaviest devices of Nokia which is weighing around 185 grams.
In addition to the new Aluminum-made smartphone, Nokia is planning to unveil two more Windows Phone 8 smartphones this year. There is no word when the devices will be available in the market. We will let you know when we have more info.
