A couple of weeks ago, Apple has seeded the 1st beta version of the iOS 5.1 version to the developers and from today, Apple has gone ahead and is currently seeding the iOS 5.1 beta 2 version to the registered developers from the Apple servers. The new build is available for the iPhone 4S, iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS, iPad 2, iPad and third and fourth-generation iPod touch devices. We’ve yet to hear proper reports from developers who have already ported this new build to the Apple devices, but judging from the release notes by BGR, there’s not much changing here, except a few changes.
The iOS 5.1 beta 2 brings the new ability to remove individual pictures from your Photo Stream and it will automatically get deleted from other iOS devices running this update.
Apple states that
“Photos taken using iOS 5.1 can be deleted from Photo Stream on your device and will be removed automatically from Photo Stream on your other iOS 5.1 devices. Older photos can be manually deleted from your iOS 5.1 devices.”
Previously, the app icons and profile photos are not loading in apps using Game Center and this issue has been sorted out by this build. The changelog hasn’t also mentioned a final solution to battery woes. Hopefully, this build fixes the battery life issues.
We’ll let you know if this new release further fixes battery life and if we find any other changes.
