CES event is the perfect season that plenty of details and rumors about the upcoming Apple iPad version will start leaking out. According to the previous rumors, Apple iPad 3 was supposed to launch in 2011. Today, some exciting details of the next version of the iPad have surfaced online. A report from DigiTimes has it that according to some ‘industry sources’, Apple is planning to launch the iPad 3 in March and then iPad 4 will shipped around October, preinstalled with “killer applications.”
Specs wise, Apple iPad 3 is rumored to be packing Retina Display with a higher-resolution display of than the first two generations of the tablet- that is QXGA 1,536 x 2,048-pixels of resolution. It will have the rear camera (it should be 8MP) on par with the iPhone 4 or even iPhone 4S camera, the front-facing HD camera will support HD FaceTime video chats. On the other side, iPad 4 is expected to feature a 9.7-inch display along with “much upgraded hardware specifications and integrated applications.”
Source are also claiming that the new iPad 3 will be housing a powerful massive 14,000mAh battery to provide longer battery life. Note that the iPad 2 is having 6,900mAH battery.
The launch of the iPad 3 would result a heavy price drop of the Apple iPad 2, making it available to purchase for $399.99 and Apple may also release an 8GB iPad 2 for just $299 to tough competition to $199 Amazon Kindle Fire and other Android tablets. It is also being heard that Apple is set to launch its next-generation iPhone is a completely re-designed phone with an aluminium back plate, similar to the one found on the iPad 2.
