There have been rumors that Apple might be launching a new mini iPad smaller than the existing iPad. But, after the purported iPad Mini parts surfaced today, it seems as the rumors are turning into fact.
Beside the the iPad mini parts pictures, Wall Street Journal also reported that its sources have confirmed “mass production” of the not yet announced slate has begun by Apple’s “Asian suppliers.” And further Japanese blog Macotakara claims that its reliable sources indicate iPad Mini production has already begun in the far Western country of Brazil by China-based Foxconn. The claim from the Japanese blog arrives coincidentally within hours of the rumored iPad mini launch date news.
According to UkrainianiPhone, the pictures were taken by an undisclosed source at a factory in China. The pictures include photos of the front panel, back panel and a picture of LCD displays.
The picture of the front panel looks similar to our prediction, bezel frames on its side are slimmer than the 9.7-inch iPad and this iPad Mini certainly has LCD screen of 7.85-inches.
As from the sources iPad Mini shelters a SIM card tray. It has antenna spacers alike to the current iPhone and with a layout quite similar to the existing iPod Touch. And there is also a separate white digitizer, making senses of having parallel color ways as the iPhone 5 after the device has finished.
The price and availability is not yet known, but it seems that the price of iPad Mini will be less than the existing full size iPad.
