Apple’s CEO Steve Jobs has announced that he is taking leave of absence from Apple for some duration stating that he need to concentrate on his health. Apple’s board of directors has granted him a medical leave of absence. But Jobs will remain as CEO and will continue to be involving in major strategic decisions and Tim Cook, the Apple COO will take over day to day operations during the next six months. So we can hope that Jobs won’t be leaving Apple and he will come back for sure. What if he really leaves the company..Hard to imagine? Yes he is the reason for changing the whole face of smartphone industry and presented as beautiful and great long lasting products iPhone, iPod and iPad.
This is not first time Steve Jobs taking break, back in 2009, Jobs took leave of absence and gone for six months following a liver transplant. It’s unclear if this leave of absence is interrelated to his 2009 liver transplant or his earlier struggles with pancreatic cancer. So it is currently not known why Jobs requested the leave and for how long exactly he will be gone. Check out the following e-mail, Jobs sent to all Apple employees.
Team,
At my request, the board of directors has granted me a medical leave of absence so I can focus on my health. I will continue as CEO and be involved in major strategic decisions for the company.
I have asked Tim Cook to be responsible for all of Apple’s day to day operations. I have great confidence that Tim and the rest of the executive management team will do a terrific job executing the exciting plans we have in place for 2011.
I love Apple so much and hope to be back as soon as I can. In the meantime, my family and I would deeply appreciate respect for our privacy.
Steve

When is the actual new iphone 5 ( or the successor of the iPhone 4) expected to be released? I lost my iphone 2-3 weeks ago, and I was wanting to know if I should just obtain the apple iphone 4 now or maybe wait for the iPhone five… Also, I been told the actual iPhone 4’s screen shatters simply if you fall it w/o an instance. Is that accurate?
