Apple is going to charge an insane eye-watering price to fix the newly launched Apple Watch Ultra repairs/physical damages. It costs $499 without an AppleCare+ plan in the United States. This repair will probably cost you more than buying a new Apple Watch Series 8 and it is nearly two-thirds of the price of the $799 Ultra.
Apple has recently launched a rough & rugged Ultra Watch along with Watch Series 8, Watch SE 2, and the new iPhone 14 models. Even though you are an AppleCare+ coverage customer, Apple will replace the Watch Ultra’s battery for a $99 fee. According to Apple’s website, repair costs for Apple Watch Series 8 run from $299 to $399, or $79 if it just requires a battery replacement. Repair costs for the second-generation Apple Watch SE are fixed from $199 to $229.
Apple China will be taking away 3,750 yuan to repair the damages of the Watch Ultra, while the buyers in India will have to pay around INR 43,000 to fix the repairs on the same watch. So, if you are planning to buy the new Ultra Watch in the coming days, it would be a great idea to also grab the AppleCare+ protection for $99 upfront (Rs 10,900 in India) or $4.99 per month which includes unlimited incidents of accidental damage protection.
Apple Watch Ultra ships with a 49mm titanium case, 2000 nits brightness display, WR100 water resistance rating with up to 100 meters of protection, 36 hours of battery life, built-in 86 decibel siren to alert for help.
