The Archos 80 G9 is an Android powered tablet, having the same high-end incredible specifications, up-to-date hardware equipments as that of the Archos 101 G9 tablet, and comes with an affordable budget priced tag.
Archos 80 G9 comes packed with some real horsepower inside it. Archos will be shipping with Android 3.1 Honeycomb OS, and it features an 8-inch touchscreen panel with a 1024 x 768 screen resolution and an aspect ratio of 4:3, equipped with 720p front camera to make video calls, powered by 1.5GHz dual-core OMAP 4 ARM Cortex A9 processor (with 50% more raw computational power than Nvidia Tegra 2 chipsets), full 1080p video playback, integrated with 250GB Seagate Momentus Thin (7mm) hard drive, a full-size USB port, an HDMI-out port capable of streaming 1080p content, 16GB flash memory, micro-SD card slot support for memory expansion up to 32GB, clipped with a built-in Kickstand, Archos 80 G9 is also having Android Market access support, Google Maps, Gmail support, having wide codec support with an “optional plugin” that includes support for AVI, MP4, VOB, MKV, FLV, RM, RMVB, MOV, 3GP, MPG, PS, TS, ASF, and WMV.
Archos has mentioned that it is a 3G-ready tablet, having a dedicated a USB port to accept an Archos G9 3G WWAN USB stick for 3G dongle with a pay-as-you-go plan.
