At a press conference at Bangalore, India Asus announces the launch of Android Device PadFone and Transformer Pad TF300TG in India. The INR 64,999 priced PadFone, comprising of a smartphone and a tablet dock, might not sell well in India, as its price is high with regard to its features. The PadFone operates on Android 4.0 ICS and a 1.5GHz dual-core Snapdragon processor with 4.3 inch qHD display, 8MP rear Camera, 1 GB of RAM, 32GB of internal Memory, 10.1 inch display with 1280 x 800 pixels, and a 6600 mAh battery.
Asus Transfomer Pad TF300TG designed skillfully to give a new mobile experience. TF300TG is equipped with 10.1 inch, 1280 x 800 pixels display, 3G and Wi-Fi connectivity, 8MP rear camera, 1.2MP front camera, quad-core Nvidia Tegra 3 processor, 1GB of RAM, 32GB of internal memory, micro HDMI port, micro -SD card slot, USB2.0 port (on dock), Card Reader (on dock), and a keyboard dock.
Asus Transfomer Pad TF300TG will cost INR 43,999 and its price doesn’t looks to be high as compared to Samsung Galaxy Note 800, with simply S-Pen as an included accessory, selling at INR 39,999. Transfomer Pad TF300TG is the third quad-core tablet to be launched in India.
Google Nexus 7 is another Asus-made tablet to be released in India soon. Now cost of the Google’s tablet in India is not known, but its price may match the one for the US market ($199).
