Today, Asus has announced the new ASUS MeMo Pad Smart ME301T tablet which is packed with Google’s Android 4.1.1 Jelly Bean mobile operating system. The 10.1-inch LED-backlit LCD IPS display with 1,280 × 800 pixels is packed with Tegra 3 1.2GHz quad-core processor.
The tablet bearing model number ME301T has 1GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage which is expandable via a microSD card. The tablet is equipped with a 5 megapixel rear facing camera, a 1.2 megapixel front-facing camera, Micro USB, Micro HDMI, 3.5mm audio jack and more. It has SRS surround, G sensor, gyro sensor, light sensor, digital compass, and GPS. Coming to the connectivity, it features Bluetooth v3.0 + EDR Wi-Fi a/b/g/n.
Currently, the manufacturer is taking pre-order for the device priced at 34,800 yen in Japan. The expected release date of the tablet is March 2. The tablet will be available in two color variants: Blue and Pink. But there’s no further report when the device will be available in other markets as of now.
The manufacturer announced the Asus PadFone Infinity smartphone with Infinity Station and Fonepad tablet at the Mobile World Congress 2013 event in Barcelona this week.
