There was a new device from ASUS, the Padfone 2, being approved by Global Certification Forum (GCF). When last we heard from the Asus Padfone 2, it has been confirmed that it will ship with 4.7-inch display with a 1280×720 resolution and 1.5GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 processor under the hood.
In case you don’t know, GCF ensures global compatibility between networks and devices. The document has listed the full list of the radios and networks the Padfone 2 will be compatible with. Document has also confirmed the device will have LTE radio on board supported by networks in Europe Asia and Latin America. Besides that, according to the previous leak, Padfone 2 will be able to record 1080p HD videos with its 13MP rear camera, and it will have 2GB RAM, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and NFC, as well as 2140mAh battery to power everything. Just like its predecessor, it can also transform into a tablet, notebook with the help of a keyboard dock.
Not much else is known about this device, but ASUS is gearing up to announce the Padfone 2 on its October 26th event in Milan, Italy and Taipei, Taiwan. Let’s hope it will will land on the U.S. soil with the ability to connect to 4G LTE networks.
