Looks like Asus is gearing up to add another Android tablets to its line-up. A couple of weeks ago, we reported about an unheard tablets called, Asus Transformer TF300T. But, the previous leak couldn’t provide the specifications details of this tablet. Thanks to a Polish website Tabletowo. The source says that Asus Transformer TF300T would be a new entry into the Transformer series of the manufacturer.
According to the Polish website, the Asus Transformer TF300T is expected to be running Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich OS, powered by a 1.2GHz nVidia Tegra 3 quad-core processor under the hood, sporting a 10.1-inch display, 1GB of RAM, an 8 megapixel HD camera on rear side, an additional 1.2MP front-facer to make video calls, 16GB internal memory with microSD card slot for further memory expansion support and a dock connector.
Reportedly, the Asus Transformer TF300T is heavier and thicker than the Asus Transformer Prime. Asus Transformer TF300T is weighing 640 grams and its dimensions are 180,8 x 263 x 9,9 mm, while the Transformer Prime measures at 8.3mm thickness and weighs 586 grams of size.
Specs wise, it matches with the Transformer Prime, but the TF300T’s storage configurations starting at 16GB (vs 32GB for Prime). This leak certainly appears legitimate enough. Hopefully, Asus will announce this tablet at Mobile World Congress event this month in Barcelona. At CES event of this year, Asus has unveiled Asus Transformer Prime TF700T and a 7-inch Mini Asus Transformer Prime tablets.
