Asus introduced the Zenfone 9 to the market in July of last year, and it seems that the Taiwanese tech giant is already gearing up for the launch of its successor. According to a recent report, the company plans to unveil the Zenfone 10 during the fourth quarter of 2023, and some of the key specifications of the upcoming flagship device have already been revealed.
It seems that Asus may be conducting internal tests on the Zenfone 10 even before its official launch. In fact, the Zenfone 10 has already appeared in the online database of Geekbench, which, as usual, has revealed a couple of significant specifications.
In addition to the powerful Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor, the Zenfone 10 prototype that was benchmarked also featured a large 6.78-inch display, although its resolution is not yet known. The ASUS_AI2302 model number was spotted on the Geekbench 6 benchmarking platform for the Zenfone 10 prototype.
While the exact name of the chipset is not mentioned in the listing, the CPU and GPU information provided by the benchmark results suggest that it is indeed the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 (SD8G2) chipset. This is based on previous naming conventions used by Qualcomm and the specific details provided in the Geekbench listing.
As expected, the Zenfone 10 prototype was running Android 13 and reportedly achieved a single-core score of 2,008 and a multi-core score of 5,454 on Geekbench. However, it’s worth noting that these figures should be taken with a grain of salt, as the device is still in the testing phase and may undergo further optimization before release.
According to a recent leak, the upcoming Asus Zenfone 10 is expected to feature a large 6.3-inch AMOLED display with an FHD+ resolution and an impressive 120Hz refresh rate. This would be a departure from previous Zenfone models, which had smaller, more compact displays. It seems that Asus is now opting for a larger display, making the Zenfone 10 comparable in size to the Samsung Galaxy S23, and no longer a compact flagship phone.
According to recent leaks, the Asus Zenfone 10 is expected to come with storage options of either 256 GB or 512 GB, both with a generous 16 GB of RAM to support smooth performance. A powerful 5,000mAh battery is also expected, which will support fast charging at a rate of 67W.
The flagship device is also rumored to have a 200-megapixel primary camera with optical image stabilization (OIS), which will likely produce stunning images. Other notable features expected from the Zenfone 10 include a liquid cooling system to help prevent overheating during extended use and an IP68-rated chassis to offer water and dust resistance.
It’s worth noting that these specs may change by the time the Zenfone 10 is released, as prototypes are often subject to changes and modifications before the final product is unveiled. However, it’s clear that Asus is continuing to push the boundaries of what a flagship smartphone can offer in terms of performance and features.
