AT&T has finally started rolling out the HSUPA update for the HTC Inspire 4G and Motorola Atrix 4G users. Users of the HTC Inspire 4G will be the first lucky ones to get the HSUPA update followed by the Motorola Atrix 4G. To remind you again, AT&T had earlier capped the HSUPA feature on the HTC Inspire 4G and Motorola Atrix 4G handsets. HUSPA allows users to upload at 4G speeds taking advantage of the network’s 4G coverage. But apparently AT&T said that HSUPA was still under testing and it and it would only enable HSUPA only when they could guarantee the perfect experience of HSUPA for their customers.
But some of the Inspire 4G and Atrix 4G users could restore HSUPA radio via unofficial patches discussed at the XDA-forums. With all these unofficial mods, we knew it would only be a matter of time before we could see the official HSUPA fix update and here it is now. At the time of writing this, we have just started to get reports hinting that Atrix 4G software update 4.1.83 might go live soon too.
Just watch out for any update notification on your HTC Inspire 4G and Motorola Atrix 4G. If you have already received the update, did you notice any significant improvement over the upload speeds? Let us know.
