The Nokia Lumia 900 windows phone has already been made official for AT&T though as of yet the carrier hasn’t confirmed a release date nor its pricing plans for the device. A few days ago, we heard about the April 22nd release windows for the handset. But, a reliable source is now reporting another date for the Lumia 900 handset. According to a member over The Verge forums, who claims to work for AT&T, has reported that AT&T is gearing up to release the LTE capable Nokia Lumia 900 handset on April 8th.
There’s a good sign that the device is well on its way however as the carrier will be expanding its LTE coverage up to 12 new markets starting this month. The tipster has also cited that a demo unit of the Nokia Lumia 900 handset has already been delivered to the store and it seems he is very satisfied with it. The handset will be available to purchase in both the black and cyan colored versions, while the next white version will be outed based on the handset’s performance like they did with the Samsung Galaxy S II Skyrocket. A wpcentral forum member has also mentioned about the April 8release date for the Nokia Lumia 900 handset and he also claims that he work at an AT&T store as well and they have already been trained on the Lumia 900 handset.
If you need a specs refresher, the Nokia Lumia 900 comes with 4.3-inch ClearBlack display, 1.4Ghz processor, 512MB RAM, 8MP camera on rear side with wide angle, a front-facing camera with light sensitivity, 16GB on-board storage, running Windows Phone 7.5 ‘Mango’ OS plus there is an 1830mAh battery, which is being claimed to provide longer battery life than any other LTE-enabled handsets on the market.

Officially announced for the U.S. at CES, AT&T has been keeping its customers waiting to get the most awaited handset. The tipsters haven’t mentioned about the price of the handset. But, according to the previous reports, the AT&T branded Nokia Lumia 900 handset will be priced at just $99.99 on a new two-year contract. Nokia has announced a global variant of the Nokia Lumia 900 and a low-end spec’d Tango version of the Nokia Lumia 610 (for just 189 euros) handsets at the Mobile World Congress event last month.
