In late September, We’ve seen the new Amazon Kindle Fire Android tablet announcement by the internet giant retailer, which will start shipping form the next week for just $199.99. Now, Barnes & Noble started sending out the e-mail invitations to major tech outlets, inviting for a Nook event that will be held in next week. According to the above invitation, it seems that B&N is gearing up to launch a new Nook Color tablet on November 7th, just a week before the most affordable Amazon Kindle Fire starts shipping.
The Nook Color 2? Very probably.
The invitation doesn’t provide any details about what Barnes & Nobile is having in store to share it with the world. We can also see the invitation doesn’t have the e-Reader referred anywhere, but it does feature the big Nook logo featured conspicuously. It is being heard that the new tablet is expected to differ significantly from Barnes & Noble’s old Nook Color e-reader. Technical specifications and hardware details of the unannounced Nook device are still mysterious to the tech world. The original Nook Color was one of the very first tablets to run Android Honeycomb via an SDK port. Anyhow, the new Nook Color will be a very successful device especially if it can be rooted to run Android 3.x Honeycomb or Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich OS. We will bring you the details of the new Nook device as they are revealed out officially. Stay tuned.
