From the past few days, BGR guys keep leaking out the RIM’s handsets. Now they have the full touch screen BlackBerry Storm 3, which is having a track record of showing up every few months with just new information. In addition to some leaked photos, we have a bunch of specifications too. BGR says that the upcoming full touchscreen phone will be running with 1.2GHz processor(same as in the supposed Torch 2) and feature the highest resolution display of 800×480, for the first time in BlackBerry lineup and it will have an optical trackpad too.
BlackBerry Storm 3 would be turning out to be Quad-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE smartphone with Tri-band UMTS/HSPA and comes with a 3.7-inch WVGA display, 5 megapixel camera, dual-band WiFi with UMA support, 3G mobile hotspot capability, Bluetooth 2.1+EDR, BlackBerry OS 6.1, 512MB RAM, 8GB eMMC, Magnetometer, Proximity sensor, Accelerometer, OpenGL ES 2.0, micro-SD card slot and a 1230mAh battery.
Like other recently leaked handsets BlackBerry Dakota and Curve Apollo, Blackberry Storm 3 isn’t having NFC chip. There will be at least two versions released around the world – codenamed ‘Monaca’ and ‘Monza’ and might be scheduled for a September launch. So the above specifications are claiming that this one may be significantly better and turning out be a high-end device but it won’t be a fair competitor among the recently announced various handsets which are carrying super phone type specifications, say dual-core processor. Check out two more leaked photos here at below.
