Hmm..Another BlackBerry leak online. It looks like BoyGeniusReport guys have a track record when it comes to BlackBerry leaks. Earlier today we’ve seen Blackberry Dakota and Curve “Apollo” leaks and now another BB handset BlackBerry Torch 2. Its predecessor BlackBerry Torch was a hefty disappointment. Well Torch 2 is having a similar clear cut body design as its predecessor but coated with matte silver finishing.
.hardware of Torch 2 has well shaped this time, equipped with 1.2GHz application processor with hardware acceleration and a much improved 640×480 capacitive display(currently it is running on 600MHz CPU and 480×360 pixels). It’s still single-core, of course. RIM is in no hurry to dump in dual-cores into its BlackBerry handsets just yet.
According to BGR predictions, will be a quad-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE phone with 14.4Mbps Tri-band HSPA. It comes up with 3.2 inch VGA display, 5 Megapixels camera with Flash, 8GB built-in memory storage, Bluetooth 2.1, 512MB RAM, GPS, Magnetometer, Proximity sensor, Accelerometer, 14.5mm thin, OpenGL ES and a 1300 mAh battery. Supposedly it’ll also launch with BlackBerry OS 6.1 and it is having NFC chip too.
We don’t have any price details yet, but this handset will join AT&T’s line up during some time in Q3. So guys, BB Torch 2 is looking solid on paper, what are your plans. You want go with Touch and type Dakota with QWERTY or you might ask a full touch screen BlackBerry phone.
