The rugged Casio G’zOne Commando smartphone is ready to rock and roll from Verizon Wireless on the same day along with HTC Droid Incredible 2 and with the 4G LTE enabled Samsung Droid Charge handsets. Verizon has just announced officially that the G’zOne Commando will be released on April 28th with a price tag of $199.99 on a two-year agreement.
Commando will be the first rugged smartphone for Verizon, having the Mii-STD 810G featuring military specifications for water, shock, vibration, humidity, salt fog, solar radiation, altitude, low and high temperatures, and dust, running on Android 2.2 Froyo, with a 800 MHz processor on-board, 3.6 inches 480×800 resolution touchscreen display, EVDO Rev A with 3G Mobile Hotspot software, Bluetooth 2.1, 5MP camera with dedicate shutter key, Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n, 3.5mm headset jack, a pre-installed 8GB microSDHC memory card, Gz’Gear application like Earth compass, Walking Counter, Tide Calculator, Adventure Training, Thermo-meter, sun/moon schedules, Android Market and with the whole host of Google & Verizon services. It is having 4 familiar touch buttons at the bottom and is also having stereo speakers as well.
G’zOne Commando also comes with Mobile Hotspot capable-share 3G connection with up to five Wi-Fi-enabled devices. This powerful ruggedized Android handset is a good choice especially for workers at construction sites.
