Dell is about to release Looking Glass 7 inch Tablet Pc powered by Android in coming weeks and will be making plans to bring out the 10 inch tablet Pc later. A few days back, in Oracle’s Open World conference, Michael Dell revealed about this 7 inch tablet pc, Codenamed “Looking Glass“.
Android is confirmed as the OS on this Looking Glass 7-inch Tablet. Dell Looking Grass tablet will measure 7.8″ x 5.1″ x 0.5″ and will weigh only 1.1 pounds.
Looking Glass tablet comes with flash & multi-tasking. It gives powerful performance with low power consumption.
Dell Looking Glass 7 inch tablet features 7 inch TFT display(800×480 pixels), 1.3 MP FF camera, Android 2.1 Éclair OS, Dual Core nVidia Tegra T20 processor with 4Gb DDR2 SD RAM, in-built 4Gb memory with support of SD/SDHC/MMC card slots for 32Gb expansion , Wi-Fi, Modular HSPA 3G modem, Bluetooth 3.0, USB 2.0. There is no mention of front facing camera.

How could Dell be giving only 4GB of internal storage? Even a smartphone half the size have minimum of 16GB of internal storage. And 1.3 MPix camera also not a good option.

Dell Looking Glass 7 inch Tablet will be equipped with an optional DTV module TV Tuner. The above screenshot shows that the device running AT&T’s U-Verse browser – the carrier’s Internet Protocol TeleVision (IPTV) service.
Price & Availability
Dell Looking 7 inch Tablet will be releasing ‘in next few weeks’, most probably in later month November 2010. Dell haven’t provide any info yet about pricing. Keep watching this space for further details.
