Dell Venue running with Android 2.2 Froyo on a 1GHz Snapdragon chip, has been launched recently in Korea and Hong Kong. It is also known as “Dell Thunder”. Dell sets the “Stage” with its new Android UI to enhance the browsing experience. Its Preloaded with Swype text entry system. Unlike the Venue Pro, the Dell Venue doesn’t run Windows Phone 7 and not having Qwerty-slider.
Dell Venue sports a large curved 4.1-inch Gorilla glass display, 8 Megapixels camera with auto focused camera with LED flash, 4X digital zoom, 1GB ROM, 512MB ROM, microSD slot for 32GB more memory, Wi-Fi, HSPA, Bluetooth 3.0, micro USB and more on the board. Dell venue handset has also been equipped with email services such as ActiveSync, HSPDA interface and integrated Wi-Fi, and compatible with Microsoft documents.

Android powered Dell venue is available immediately in Hong Kong via Broadway, Fortress, Wilson and Suning Citicall retail stores pricing at HK$3,999 ($514 or €390), where as Korean versioned Venue costs 700,000KRW ($606). So quite a bit less than in Korea. We don’t have exact info on when it will hit the stores in other regions. Global availability to follow.
